Swan Neck Tow Bars
Fixed Swan Neck tow bars are usually the most affordable tow bar option. The tow bar is capable of doing most things you might need a tow bar to do except being able to attach a bolt on cycle carrier or have a bumper protection plate.
Detachable Tow Bars
Generally supplied as either a Vertical ( U shape) or Horizontal (L shape) design. Vertical detachable tow bars usually result in an invisible installation which many customers prefer. Detachable tow bars are not usually available for LCV's

Tow Bar Wiring
Dedicated Wiring
Sometimes referred to a Vehicle Specific or Factory wiring kits, these are made to work with the vehicles computer controlled wiring meaning that any built in towing related safety functions can operate.
Universal Wiring
Universal fitting kits are the traditional way to wire up a vehicle with tow bar wiring. As cars have become ever more electrically sophisticated this "cut and splicing" of the lighting circuit wires can result faults.
7 or 13 Pin?
The main advantage of 13 pin over 7 pin sockets is that you need to twist lock the plug into place. This gives a more secure connection and results in less chance of pin burn-out.
